The National Library of Türkiye integrates art into public library spaces

As the custodian of cultural heritage and a hub for intellectual and artistic engagement, the National Library of Türkiye is pioneering a new initiative to enhance public library environments through art.

In collaboration with local artists, the National Library has curated a distinguished collection of paintings originally exhibited during the Culture Route Festival. These works are now being permanently displayed in public libraries, enriching reading and learning spaces with aesthetic and cultural value.

As the leading institution in the country’s library sector, the National Library of Türkiye continues to set standards not only in librarianship but also in fostering artistic appreciation within library spaces.

Launched in 25 cities and 32 public libraries, this initiative aims to expand annually, reinforcing the role of libraries as dynamic cultural institutions that connect communities with both knowledge and the arts.
