The National Library of the Republic of Moldova has the pleasure to invite you to take part in the 6th edition of the International Conference “The reading as a basis for culture, knowledge and development”. The conference aims to build up a feasible platform for the exchange of ideas and resources and draw a connection between the participants who share the similar research goals.
The Conference, which has become habitual within the National LecturaCentral Program, will be held in a mixed format, with live transmission on the official YouTube channel of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova on October 2, 2024.
The main theme of 2024 LecturaCentral National Program is “Promoting European Values through Reading”. Encouraging understanding and respect of the principles and ideals on which the European Union is based is and effective and profound way to support European values.
In accordance with the development trends of the main theme and in association with the National Strategic Plans, for the purpose of efficient organization we propose the following content areas:

Deadline: July 15, 2024.
The communications presented during the conference, as well as other valuable materials, which will not be found in the conference agenda, will be inserted in the fifth volume of the work “The Reading and the Stairs”.
Deadline for submitting articles is October 1, 2024.
The representatives of all types of libraries, teachers/scientists of all levels of education, writers, researchers in the fields of the sociology of reading and of the adjacent fields, representatives of the book industry, decision-makers in the field of various levels of responsibility are invited to the Conference proceedings.
The Conference program and other information regarding the organization of the event will be communicated additionally.
