The project ‘The Art of Reading in the Middle Ages’ is coming to an end after nearly 2 years of fruitful cooperation between 8 European partners including CENL members the National and University Library of Slovenia, the National Library of France and the National Library of the Czech Republic.
Aiming to show how medieval reading culture evolved and became a fundamental aspect of European culture, this project has delivered 20,000 items created between the years c. 500 and c. 1550 to Europeana, among which medieval manuscripts, early printed books and other objects. Partners also created rich object descriptions and curating several editorials, including an interactive online exhibition.
