To express its solidarity with the suffering of the Ukrainian people the National and University Library in Zagreb:

• Created special bibliographies of materials related to Ukraine https://www.nsk.hr/en/standing-with-ukraine-special-nsk-bibliographies-published-in-support-of-ukraine/
• The Croatian Web Archive conducts thematic harvesting about the War in Ukraine https://haw.nsk.hr/novosti/prikupljanje-sadrzaja-za-tematsku-zbirku-rat-u-ukrajini/

The Library also coordinates support and relief related activities of the entire Croatian library community dedicated to Ukrainian people who escaped from the war. In a message distributed to all Croatian libraries we suggested different avenues of help: contacting local reception centres and sharing information about library services and especially identifying librarians who can work as volunteers in Croatian libraries.

Zagreb City Libraries:

The Croatian Library Association started the collaborative portal Croatian libraries for refugees from Ukraine!,  a central information hub for all available services and activities provided by libraries in Croatia in solidarity with the refugees from Ukraine! The Association joined EBLIDA’s Libraries for Ukraine program and invited libraries in Croatia to prepare special library programs dedicated for refugees from Ukraine, such as offering information about temporary housing, free access to information, books or services, or some other library activities.
