The National Library of Finland has acquired the original manuscript of the song entitled Die stille Stadt (Op 50, No 5). The manuscript has been preserved in a very good condition. The song, with piano accompaniment, was written up in black ink on four sheets, with the tempo and other markings added in pencil. The performance marks in the manuscript and the published version of the song differ slightly.
