The Slovak National Library invites you to its residential building on 10 July 2022 from 1 pm to 6 pm for the science afternoon On the halfway to Mars. The exclusive guest will be Dr. Michaela Musilová, Slovak astrobiologist and popularizer of science, former director and member of several simulated missions to Mars.
During the lecture, she will talk about her new project as well as summarize her work at the NASA space agency, where she focused on extremophile research. She will also sign her biography book: Dr. M. Musilova: Woman from Mars.
For some people will be the most interesting part of this afternoon – a public presentation of originals works from the 15th and 16th centuries written by Galileo Galilei, Giordano Bruno, and Isaac Newton. Due to their age and fragility, these books are presented very rarely, so it is definitely worth seeing. Although digital copies are fully accessible to the public in the Digital Library of SNL, seeing the 400-year-old legendary works of the founders of modern natural sciences live is something, that digital copies do not replace. We will introduce the SNL Digital Library to children through classic fairy tales.
The beautiful design, electric, small city car Patak Rodster of the Slovak company Patak Motors, which had a successful world premiere at the end of May at the 37th Festival Automobile International in Paris, would also have its Slovak premiere in our country on 10 July, 2022.
Top Slovak innovator and designer of the flying car AirCar prof. Štefan Klein will present this unique flying car to visitors with the help of video technology.

It allows printing photos conveniently and directly from a mobile phone. So all the photos that you make at our event – you will be able to take them straight away.
