The exhibition entitled “100 Years of the Slavonic Library” is available from 5 September to 31 October 2024 in the Clementinum, the main seat of the National Library of the Czech Republic. It presents to visitors the main events of the library’s history, its collections, distinguished staff and implemented projects. The Slavonic Library, one of the world’s leading research libraries focused on Slavic Studies, was founded in November 1924. Since 1958 it has been an integral part of the National Library of the Czech Republic. In addition to the exhibition, the anniversary is associated with the publication of several books and articles or the organization of an international symposium of Slavic Studies librarians. Library staff will commemorate the anniversary at several Czech and international conferences.
