On the 31st of October 2023, the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina marked the 78th anniversary of continuous work and existence in the mission of culture, education, and science.

Director of NULB&H, Dr. Ismet Ovčina, welcomed the guests – professors, academics, representatives of cultural and public life, and the Minister of Federal Minister of Education and Science, Prof. Jasna Duraković, Ph.D. and the representatives of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science. Director Ovčina pointed out the importance of the NULB&H – an institution that marks 78 years of continuous existence and work and which, despite numerous obstacles, witnessed throughout history and even today, managed not only to survive but to continuously achieve its true mission in the development of culture, education and science.
