On December 5-6, 2023, the staff of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova was actively involved in an international cooperation event – taking part in the training “Basics of Project Management” (Chisinau, Moldova) organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Moldova and Martynas Mazvydas National Library of Lithuania. The training participants were welcomed by H.E. Ambassador Tadas Valionis of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Moldova assisted by Attaché Luidas Gintautas Dabkus.
During two training days the participants worked in several teams, developing project ideas under the guidance of Ugne Rinkeviciute and Ginta Liberyte, managers of cultural activities of the project management department of Martynas Mazvydas National Library of Lithuania.
The trainers delivered as well sharing knowledge sessions – about Martynas Mazvydas National Library of Lithuania project portfolio, the best practices of their department and the National reading promotion programs in Lithuania, to which were invited as well the colleagues from the National Children’s Library of Moldova “Ion Creanga”.
The new knowledge and practical skills gained during the training will be used in the nearest t future for the benefit of the public.
Note: A Collaboration Agreement between the two Libraries was signed on December 6, 2017 and since then there were made several international events, making the cooperation deeper.
