The National and University Library (NUK) collects, preserves, and archives the written cultural and scientific heritage of the Slovenian nation. It is a centre of knowledge aimed at lifelong education of the Slovenian people, and at raising their cultural and educational level and information literacy skills.
The National and University Library (NUK) is winding up its celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of its beginings. Recently the library hosted an open house event, where visitors explored the library including manuscript of his poem Zdravljica, awarded with European Heritage Label (EHL).
