September 27, 2019 until January 12, 2020
The Aragonese fortepianist Patricia García stars in the inaugural concert of the II Music Cycle in the National Library of Spain with a recital that is a real discovery. On the one hand, the instrument itself, the fortepiano, which without being a stranger is not yet common in the concert halls and, on the other, the repertoire, a tour of the Spanish “chopinianos” in which it sounds again some Composers who were inspired by Chopin’s music and composed in the style of Polish genius, a paradigm of musical Romanticism.
Inspired by the romantic model was also the Aragonese Valentín Carderera, whose figure recovers the BNE at the Valentín Carderera exhibition (1796-1880). Cartoonist, collector and romantic traveler , curated by José María Lanzarote.
The concert serves as a preamble to the exhibition, held in collaboration with the Center for Hispanic European Studies, which can be visited from September 27, 2019 until January 12, 2020.
