Gilles Pécout, President of the National Library of France and Vice Chair of CENL visited the Chair Frank Scholze at the German National Library

Gilles Pécout, the new President of the National Library of France and newly elected Vice Chair of the Conference of European National Librarians (CENL), visited the Chair, Frank Scholze, at the German National Library in Frankfurt am Main on 4 September 2024.

 

The talks at the German National Library in Frankfurt am Main focussed on the work and further development of CENL. One of the current library-related topics of the exchange was the future of digital deposit copies, with a special emphasis on digital music collections. Another point of discussion was the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in the library sector and its impact on the way memory organisations manage and preserve cultural heritage.
