An anniversary exhibition of publications with the generic “The Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, 30 years since its adoption” is organized at the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
The Constitution of the Republic of Moldova was adopted on July 29, 1994 and entered into force on August 27 of the same year. The supreme law stipulates that the Republic of Moldova is a sovereign, independent, unitary and indivisible state. The Constitution of the Republic of Moldova consists of eight titles, each of which is divided into chapters and sections. The preamble of the Constitution maintains the secular aspirations of the people to live in a sovereign country, the aspirations to satisfy the interests of the citizens. A symbol of the people’s struggle for freedom, democracy and human rights, the Constitution reminds the citizen’s right and the sacred duty to faithfully serve the country, to defend at all costs the unity, sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Moldova.
The exhibition includes around 90 documents, selected from the collections of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova, which promote and value the Constitution, the fundamental law of the state that defines the attributes of the state, its operating principles and its main objectives.
Among the exhibited works is the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, adopted on July 29, 1994 with the latest amendments and additions, collections of decisions of the Constitutional Court, decisions regarding the interpretation of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova.
Among the documents can be mentioned works signed by Victor PUSCAS, Alexandru ARSENI, Pavel BARBALAT, Gheorghe COSTACHI, Liliana CREANGA, Ion GUCEAC, Valeriu KUCIUK, Boris NEGRU, Nicolae OSMOCHESCU, Andrei SMOCHINA et al.
The exhibition is organized by the Information Resources Section of the Parliament Secretariat in collaboration with the National Library of the Republic of Moldova.
The exibition is open to visitors from July 20 to August 2, 2024
On July 29, 2024, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova organized the practical-scientific Conference “The Constitution of the Republic of Moldova at 30 years and European integration”, which was attended by the General Director of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova Elena Pintilei and the Vice Director of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova Veronica Bors.
