The Slovak National Library would like to invite you to an international conference to discuss the past, present, and the future of research of book history. The book, as a historical object, is the subject of research in various areas of library science – from publishing, printing, book collecting and content analysis to their presentation by the professional circle in the form of printed catalogues, monographs, publications, and providing electronic access in the form of digital objects, data and other information. The main theme of our conference is book culture and historical topics reflected in current research projects at scientific libraries, universities and other memory institutions. The goal of the conference is to create a platform for discussion on the state and direction of research of the history of book culture in Slovakia and abroad. We would like to invite colleagues from foreign institutions to use this opportunity to share experiences and information in order to compare research tasks and projects.
