On 25 August 2023, the National and University Library, with a special program and exhibition, in the temporary premises, marked the 31st anniversary of the shelling of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Vijećnica.

Warfront papers were newspapers for soldiers on the front, published both by official communication companies and by the soldiers themselves. The National Library of Finland has, together with the library of the Finnish National Defence University, digitised a total of 144 Finnish warfront papers from 1939–1945.

Applications are currently openned for two programmes, coordinated by the French Ministry of Culture, that allow professionals working in cultural institutions to spend from one to three month at the BnF and work on a specific theme or collection in relation with the Library.
