On the occasion of the Republic of Slovenia being the Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair, the National and University Library of Slovenia, in cooperation with the SKICA Berlin and the German Romantic Museum (DRM), opened the exhibition France Prešeren in slovenska romantika (France Prešeren and Slovenian Romanticism) – presenting a selection of the works of France Prešeren and Luiza Pesjak.
With the aim of agreeing on cooperation regarding the digitization of the material, representatives of the two institutions met at the National Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Swedish Freedom of the Press Ordinance of 1766 is now inscribed on the UNESCO Memory of the World Register. The first of its kind in the world, the Ordinance includes both the rights of freedom of expression and that of access to official public records.
