CONUL Erasmus Library Staff Mobility week

The National Library of Ireland was delighted to host visiting librarians from all over Europe, as part of the CONUL Erasmus Library Staff Mobility week. This is the fifth year we have held this event, which is organised on behalf of all of the CONUL Libraries and supported by the CONUL Board.

The Regional Conferences for Librarians of the Republic of Moldova

The National Library of the Republic of Moldova in partnership with the National Children’s Library “Ion Creanga” and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova organized the annual regional conferences during May 28 – June 6, 2024 with the generic theme “The involvement of the libraries in supporting and achieving the National Development Strategy “European Moldova 2030”, which is based on UN Agenda 2030 and the Association Agreement with the EU.

All Time Football – exhibition in honour of the European Football Championship in the Buda Castle district

On 15 June 2024, the exhibition All Time Football opened in Budapest in the Buda Castle district, offering a month-long programme of family-friendly activities to mark the 2024 European Football Championship. The joint exhibition by the National Széchényi Library (NSZL), the National Sport, the Foundation for a Healthy Nation, a Common Cause for All of Us and the Castle Headquarters presents special stories and memories of football successes of the past and present.

Donation to the National Library of Greece by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) in memory of Filippos Tsimpoglou

The National Library of Greece (NLG) announces the donation of 100,000 euros from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) in the cherished memory of Filippos Tsimpoglou, Director General of the NLG (2014-2023). The donation has been approved to support the identification, documentation, cataloguing, preservation, and presentation of the NLG art collection in its entirety.
