Celebrating 30 years of the NSK in the iconic “Glass Cube”

The year 2025 marks 30 years since the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) started operating in its current building, frequently referred to as “the glass cube”. NSK will celebrate this great anniversary through a special programme aimed at reminding the public of its significance as one of Croatia’s major heritage institutions and the library of all Croatian citizens.

NSK’s manuscript collection enriched by a 1725 Pauline antiphonary

A historic event for Croatian cultural heritage took place in December 2024 in Munich. The National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) successfully acquired a 1725 antiphonary at an auction held by a prestigious house specialising in rare books and manuscripts. In doing so, the Library brought back to Zagreb a Pauline codex that once belonged to the monastery in Remete, located in northern Zagreb.
