On Tuesday, September 3, a meeting devoted to the translation of the Codex Suprasliensis into Polish took place at the Palace of the Commonwealth. The manuscript, dating from the 10th century, forms part of the collection of the National Library and has recently been put on permanent display at the Palace.
On 13 September the Estonian government announced its decision to allocate 17.7 million euros to complete the construction and furnishing of the National Library of Estonia. The renovation work of the National Library’s Tõnismägi building is expected to be completed by the summer of 2025, the library is planned to open to visitors in 2027.
The British Library is hosting a series of webinars focused on libraries and the climate crisis. The aim of the series is to bring together international library leaders to share their different responses to the climate emergency.
