A number of events were held at the National Library within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

The Conference of the Parties (COP), is held annually, with the Presidency rotating between the five recognised UN regions. This year, Azerbaijan has been selected as the Presidency of the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29), to be hosted in Baku this November. Azerbaijan has a strong track record of hosting international events and had chosen Baku Stadium as the venue for COP29. 

The following presentations were being held:

• On November 11: The presentation ceremony of the electronic database “Green World Solidarity Year” dedicated to the topic “Climate Change”
• On November 12: The presentation of the virtual exhibition and the traditional book exhibition on the topic “From the Golden fund of Azerbaijan National Library”
• On November 13: The presentation ceremony of the virtual exhibition and the traditional book exhibition on the topic “Green World Solidarity Year”, the event was followed by the presentation of the electronic Photo album “Green World Solidarity Year” dedicated to the topic “Climate Change”
• On November 16: The presentation ceremony of the electronic database “Our Ancient Homeland Western Azerbaijan” and the traditional book exhibition
• On November 18: The presentation of the video clip on the topic “Green World Solidarity Year”, organized by the National Library and the Public Union of the Development Movement of Azerbaijani Youth
• On November 19: The presentation ceremony of the Electronic Database “Shusha the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World”
• On November 20: The presentation of the Electronic Database “Shusha – the pearl of Karabakh” and the traditional book exhibition
