The Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Montenegro H.E. Mr. Stefan Dimitrov greeted the dignitaries and visitors. He indicated, among other things, that in this way “the courage and moral integrity of Bulgarian politicians, administrators, officers, priests, intellectuals and ordinary citizens who made the rescue of Jews in Bulgaria possible are being honoured.”
President of the Republic of Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Rumen Radev was a patron of a series of events organized on this occasion.
Guests enjoyed the streaming of the documentary “49,172”, after which Mr. Dimitrov opened an exhibition THE JEWS IN BULGARIAN LANDS, that could give them “an answer to the question of how it was possible to save almost 50,000 Jewish people, Bulgarian citizens, by not allowing them to be sent to death camps.”
The event was attended by diplomatic representatives of a number of countries in Montenegro, as well as representatives of the Jewish community in our country.
