The opening of the exhibition of written cultural heritage from the Special Collections of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina – “National Treasure of Bosnia and Herzegovina” was organized in Vijećnica. The exhibited materials are part of the funds of the Special Collections and the Collection of Old Periodicals, which have been kept in the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina since the library’s inception.
Invaluable manuscript collections transcribed from centuries to the first books and newspapers printed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, travelogues, and archival collections of Bosnian great figures of history are presented in one place. The exhibition is part of the official program to mark the 30th anniversary of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s independence.
On the occasion of the exhibition, the bilingual catalog “National Treasure of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Exhibition of Written Cultural Heritage from the Special Collections of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina” was published.
