The Presidential Library invites everyone to take part in the XI Foreign View International Annual Multimedia Contest “Foreign View”. Detailed information about the project as well as registration form and submission of entries are posted on the website foreignview.prlib.ru.
In 2021, due to the restrictions adopted throughout the world and due to the difficult epidemiological situation, the contest is not dedicated to any one specific topic. Working remotely, the impossibility to travel and to participate in events gave time to reflect and comprehend the accumulated experience and memories. XI Multimedia Contest “Foreign View” provides a possibility to create joint Archive of Memories.
This year, the entries will be accepted in the following nominations.
Nomination “A year, two, three… ago”. Social networks often take us back in time by posting photos taken some time ago. Then we relive these moments anew, remember the place, mood, weather, hear the voices of friends or random travel companions. Please, share these memories!
“Colorful World – Lively Recollections” nomination is for those participants who like to discover the world. Tell us which countries you have visited over the past few years, where, in which corners of the planet you have experienced the strongest emotions, where you would like to return again.
Impressions about new IT and discoveries, about a world that is changing before our eyes, are accepted in “New Reality” nomination.
Traditionally, Contest includes geographical nomination. This year it is “Russia and France: Always in Touch” and marks the cooperation between the two countries.
The Contest traditionally accepts works made by Russians abroad and made by foreigners in Russia. The only exceptions are two nominations: “My Hero” and “New Reality”, where works created without taking this rule into account can be accepted.
Submission in all nominations of the XI International Annual Multimedia Contest “Foreign View” will be held until November 2021. The awarding of the winners is planned for the end of the year.
The project participants will not only compete for victory but also have the opportunity to become part of the world community which annually creates a digital chronicle of the most memorable events of our time for future generations. The best photos will be included in a photo album, which, along with the best video works, will be a part of the Presidential Library’s electronic collection. Materials sent to the multimedia contest will become part of exhibitions at various cultural venues in the country.
