The subject of the symposium is a more inclusive use of resources for museums, archives and libraries. Sources they use when making presentations about and conducting research into slavery and slave trade. What kind of sources can we think of? What do they add to the stories that have been told in museums so far? And should we reconsider the definitions used in this context? Marisa Fuentes is keynote speaker of this symposium. She is a writer, historian and associate professor of Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University, New Jersey.
