Gallica has reached the symbolic milestone of 10 million documents online and in free access. Launched in 1997, the digital library of the BnF and its now 260 partners celebrates its 25th anniversary.
Among the 10 millions of documents, you can find more than 5,8 millions of newspapers and periodicals, more than 1,7 million images, 850,000 books and 500,000 objects. They are all accessible through three different tools: a search bar, an advanced research tool and many curated selections by geographical areas, by topics and by types of documents. Gallica also has a blog and an information letter, both running since 2009.
